The summer has been heating up and so too have our opportunities for you to continue to offer your welcome energies to re-elect Representative Ty Harrell this November 4th. To help you cope with the steamy August temperatures, we have a variety of activities to keep you cool!

Create a fan base – Join us in filming short videos

Be part of the breeze that fans support for Ty throughout the district. Let us know if you would like to participate in a short video of supporters showing enthusiasm for our inspiring and “most effective freshman in the House.” We will be coordinating filming with a video crew on Saturday, August 9th starting at 2pm at the town signs for Apex, Morrisville, Raleigh, and Cary. Please feel free to bring your families, neighbors, visiting grandparents, etc. To join in the fun simply e-mail or telephone me (abertole@nc.rr.com; 919-793-0160) so we can provide further location and scheduling details.

Dive into the refreshing pool of District 41 – Come Canvass

While the pavement may be sizzling, the positive responses of neighbors in Ty’s district are revitalizing. Your knocks on the doors of district members are vital to renewing awareness of the state level elections and stimulating folks to learn more about Ty and to get involved in his campaign. You now have an extra opportunity to swim into this venture! In addition to our regular canvassing on Saturdays from 10 am -1 pm, you can plunge in this Sunday at 2 pm! But the pool hours are flexible – if you wish to submerge yourself at a time that fits better with your schedule, just let me know and we will happily provide you with canvassing materials to use on your own.

Anticipate the cooler fall weather – Save the date for a Block Party
Debra Decamillis and her wonderful neighbors are at it again! On the heels of an energizing celebration for Ty on their cul-de-sac two years ago, this group is offering up their hospitality again this October! No need for delay – look forward now to the upcoming fun, food, and music and make plans to introduce your friends, neighbors and family to Ty and rally support.

When: October 11th from 4 pm to 8 pm
Where: Steeplechase Court, Raleigh 27613 (Near the intersection of Lynn Rd and Creedmoor Rd)

Bask in the modern luxury of air conditioning – Phone from home
While phone banking activities are soon to arrive, your fingers can begin to make calls from the comfort of home now. Just let me know of your interest and I will arrange to send you a script and a call list.

Meet neighbors for Sweet Tea – Invite Ty to join you
Keeping hydrated is an important way to beat the heat. Why not gather some friends, cool down with some iced tea, and include Ty in the mix – not only will you chill out but you will also provide Ty with a great way to meet community members and hear and respond to district concerns.

Dress Cool – Let your lawn sport a Ty Harrell sign
Get your name on our list for this fashion favorite for the yard. Signs will be available early in the fall.

Embody the Sprinkler – Shower voters with your support for Ty
With the election November 4th and early voting in late October, it’s never too soon to let us know you can help work the polls and show your support for Ty to voters.

Ice Cream/I Scream – Accept thunderous applause for all you do
Your words of support to friends and neighbors about Ty, your energetic efforts in going door-to-door, your generous offers to host gatherings, and your numerous other actions of encouragement all make a tremendous difference and we cannot shout our thanks loud enough!
