Dear Friend:

We're having an open house for campaign volunteers on Sunday afternoon, September 7 from 4:00 to 6:00. The open house will be at our campaign headquarters located at 400 Oberlin Road, Suite 110 in Cameron Village. We'll have light refreshments, but don't plan to skip dinner on our account.

If the higher profile campaigns play well with others, we'll coordinate our volunteer efforts closely with other Democratic campaigns, so you don't have to worry about neglecting other campaigns to help us.

Also, we need to have a strong yard sign effort to show grassroots support. It would be a great help if you could take a yard sign this fall.

Our campaign should receive much less attention this year, and we expect to spend less too. I don't miss the notoriety at all--really, not at all--but a lower profile campaign makes our grassroots effort all the more important.
